Carver Hobby Horse Competition

Join us for an exciting and fun-filled event where young hobby horse enthusiasts can come together to celebrate their passion. Whether you're a seasoned hobby horse rider or new to the hobby, there's something for everyone.

Carver’s 1st Hobby Horse Competition is open to all age groups. Participants will get the chance to showcase their skills and creativity as they navigate specially designed courses on hobby horses. In order to compete, you must:

  • Bring Your Own Hobby Horse: Already have a beloved hobby horse? Bring it along and showcase your skills!

  • or Borrow: We will have a few Hobby Horses on hand for leasing on the day at no charge for entrants.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Sunday, Sept 27th 11am - 1pm

    Check in will begin at 10am *warm up area provided

    Competition begins at 11am

  • Pre Registration is suggested so we have an understanding of competitors day of. Day of registration available at 10am.

  • List of Classes:

Flat, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Free-style Dressage, Barrel Racing, High Jump, Hunter Jump, Best Looking

  • Eligibility: Open to all ages and all skill levels

  • Food: Will be available to purchase.

  • For Sale: Hobby Horse products will be available for sale including halters, bridles, lead lines, and homemade hobby horses

  • Donations: Donations welcome. We will be collecting donations for a local animal shelter -TBT

    *Ribbons will be awarded for placings up to 6th place.

    *Waivers will be available to sign at the check-in table day of event.


Whether you are a seasoned hobby horse competitor or trying it for the first time, this event promises fun, laughter, and a memorable experience for all participants. 

Flat class is a walk, trot, canter

Cross Country will be over flower boxes, water jump etc…

Free Style Dressage will be athletes’ choice of how they want to present a routine with or without a song.

Hunter Jump is for time.
